This trip came at the tail end of a crazy stressful year of hard work and little fun. It was the end of an era for me as I graduated residency and in fact found out while in Italy that i had passed my board exams. Todd had planned the proposal this way so that it came after all the stress was over and done with. Good man. Florence was our last stop in Italy and with its romantic settings it was the perfect spot for an engagement shoot. We had decided to do our engagement pictures in Italy, because it would commemorate this life changing moment for the both of us in the country where it happened, which gave it all so much more meaning for us.

We found our photographer Duccio Argentini online after hours spent sifting through various websites. We liked his style of photography and after corresponding with him, it was clear he was an utmost professional. He made the whole planning process across the globe between Canada and Italy a smooth experience.

The day of our shoot it rained in the morning and we were worried, but Duccio reassured us that it would turn out. And indeed it did. In fact, thanks to the dissipating rain clouds our pictures turned out beautifully. Duccio made us feel comfortable and we easily got used to having a camera follow us around as we made our way through downtown Florence. We loved florentine architecture and history having explored the city the day before and we felt so glad and lucky to be able to capture some of this romance and beauty through Duccio’s photography. Todd and I had a blast and a truly unforgettable experience that is now part of our engagement story in Italy.
