Best Photography Locations in Tuscany

Tuscany is certainly the most famous of the Italian regions. There is probably no person on earth who does not know this wonderful little piece of Italy.  All of this region has marvels of all kinds. If we talk about nature, Tuscany is  characterized by a relatively small area and boasts a very diverse territory. Lakes, mountains, hills, rivers and a sea bathing sandy and rocky beaches. Tuscany is also known for its islands. Like Sardinia, but also small pearls such as the island of Elba or the island of Monte Cristo, today it is a natural reserve but has become famous thanks to the Count of Monte Cristo. Within a few hours you can go from the snowy mountains of Amiata to the beautiful beaches of the Tuscan Maremma, south of the region.

Here you can meet animals like foxes and wild boars, moving undisturbed in search of food. But of course, Tuscany is known all over the world for the art cities that collect, like the famous Florence, the city that houses immense artistic treasures like the Ponte Vecchio, the Brunelleschi Dome or the Old Palace. Not to mention the Uffizi gallery, where are admired and envied artistic masterpieces from all over the world.  But we could also talk about Lucca, characterized by its tall walls surrounding it. Then there is Pisa, with its Piazza dei  Miracoli. Famous for the curious leaning tower. Returning to Florence, we meet the Chianti area, known by all for famous wines, but also for its gentle hills, covered by long rows of vineyards. Crossing the street of wine we encounter countries considered small pearls such as San Gimignano and Monteriggioni.

Until arriving in Siena, known all over the world for the famous Palio, a horse race that takes place right in the historic center of the ancient city. Tuscany is not only appreciated for its monuments and its nature. Being one of the most romantic places in the world, it attracts couples of future spouses who choose this place to celebrate their wedding. It does not matter that you talk about civil or religious ceremonies. It does not matter that you celebrate by the sea or in a country church. Just choose Tuscany and everyone then finds the right place for your wedding. As a Tuscan photographer I saw and photographed so many couples in incredible places. The most striking thing is not only the unique landscape but the light and colors that characterize this unique place in the world: the Tuscan countryside with its wheat fields, such as those that can be found in the Val d’Orcia, part of Tuscany made famous from the movie The Gladiator
